We offer various types of marking to identify your trays and facilitate tool organization.
Silkscreen Marking
Derived from the Latin word “sericum” (silk) and the Greek word “graphein” (writing), silkscreen printing is a technique that uses silk screens positioned between the ink and the surface. It allows for a high ink deposit, ensuring intense, permanent color and perfect opacity. The visual result is striking and highly durable.
Electrolytic Marking (simple or shaded)
This permanent marking is applied to electrically conductive metals. It is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to apply, creating a chemical reaction in the conductive metal when an electric current passes through, which alters the color of the material. Unlike silkscreen marking, electrolytic marking can only be done in black and is resistant to abrasion, making it a long-lasting option for identifying products.
Engraving Marking
Also known as “pin-etching,” this is a permanent marking process that uses micro-percussion, operated by a specialized machine. This technique is mainly used for engraving batch numbers or incremental serial numbers on flat surfaces only. The result is precise and indelible, ideal for applications requiring permanent identification.
